Angela White

Angela has experience of working in a number of secondary schools at many levels including senior leadership before moving to Stockton Local Authority in 2015 as Senior Adviser 11-19 focussing on school improvement.

Her knowledge and experience includes teaching, learning and assessment, leadership, personal development, behaviour and welfare and pupil outcomes.

Angela has previously held middle leader positions in English before becoming a senior leader.  Angela has led an outstanding English department achieving outstanding progress and attainment at both KS4 and KS5.

Angela has significant experience of working with other schools, some in very challenging circumstances.  Moreover, her desire to support and collaborate with others has always been a passion, leading and delivering CPD regionally and nationally, including external agencies Whole Education and Kestrel Consultancy.  Angela has worked with the SSAT contributing to the publications: ‘Maximising Achievement at Key Stage 4: English’ and ‘Heads of English handbook: A guide on how to lead and manage a successful English department’. Angela fully believes in working with people and building strong relationships built on trust and honesty as well as providing challenge and rigour.
